"HeX-heX" - The Henot Conspiracy is an eerie dance theater performance. A danced, obscure play about power, social decadence and condemnation. Katharina Henot, born at the end of the 16th century, was the most famous victim of the witch hunt in Cologne. The successful entrepreneur and well-known and influential woman in the city was envied and slandered, imprisoned and tortured, then strangled and burned at the Cologne Melaten cemetery. The play transports the historical plot into the modern day world and asks: Who are the witches of today? How do women conquer positions of power and how does society react?
